What's this CS2 inventory worth?

Inventory lookup · free · no account · nothing kept

Your CS2 inventory value is what every item would fetch if you sold it now: prices read live from each market, net of that market's fee. Paste a profile and see every item priced after fees. Yours or anyone's, as long as it's public.

Public inventories only. We don't keep the profile or the result.

Example answer

Paste a profile above and the answer lands here: what the inventory sells for in cash, Steam's listing beside it, and every item with its picture and price.

How the value is worked out

ShowHide

Your CS2 inventory value or Steam inventory worth is the net cash value you could collect if you sold every item across real markets, after deducting each market cut.

Every item is priced across the markets we track, and the total uses the best price you could actually cash out at, net of that market's selling fee. That is almost always lower than the Steam Community Market total, because Steam wallet funds cannot be withdrawn as money and every market takes a cut. If you want the most for a particular skin, read where to sell CS2 skins for the most.

A Doppler is priced at its own phase when the inventory shows it (each phase has its own picture on Steam). When it doesn't, the card says so and the item stays out of the total. A Ruby priced as a Phase 2 is how people lose knives, so we don't guess.

Why the Steam total is wrong

ShowHide

The number Steam shows you is not the number you can walk away with. Two things quietly inflate it.

  • Fees. Selling on the Steam market costs roughly 13%, and the money lands in your Steam wallet, not your bank. So the value you see is gross of fees and it is not cash.
  • Name average pricing. Steam prices a skin by its name and ignores the one thing that makes each copy unique: its float and pattern. A clean, rare pattern copy can be worth several times the name average, and a beaten one much less.

Net value: the number that matters

The useful figure is what lands after a market takes its cut. It differs by venue, so the right value for a skin is the best net any market you would actually use pays for it today.

What's in the total, and what isn't

ShowHide

The total is what Steam shows anyone in the public inventory, priced item by item. A few things never make it in, and here's why.

  • Trade protected items. After a trade, Steam keeps the items in a protected part of the inventory for seven days and hides that part from the public inventory, so a profile link can't see them. Signed in with the extension, your own inventory includes them.
  • Storage units. Steam lists the unit itself but never what's inside it, so stored items aren't in the total. Move them back to your inventory in game if you want them counted.
  • Dopplers with no visible phase. They're listed so you can check them in game, but they stay out of the total.
  • Items with no market price, like medals and default items. They count toward the number of items, not the value.

How often the prices update

ShowHide

Each market is read on its own clock. The fastest feeds are read every few minutes, the slowest about every six hours. A lookup prices every item at the latest number we hold when you press the button. The answer is kept for about ten minutes, so a reload shows the same figures; after that, a new lookup reads the inventory and the prices again.

Checking someone else's inventory

ShowHide

Paste their profile link, the custom name from their profile address, their 17 digit SteamID64 or a trade link they've sent you. A trade link's token is cut off in your browser before the lookup goes out, so it never reaches us, and the share link holds only the SteamID64.

If the inventory is private, Steam shows it to nobody, us included, and the lookup tells you that instead of a number. To make your own public, open your Steam profile, pick Edit Profile, then Privacy Settings, and set both My profile and Inventory to Public.

Questions

How much is my CS2 inventory worth?

Paste your Steam profile link (or a trade link) and PatinaAI prices every item in the inventory across the markets it tracks, then totals them at the best price you could actually cash out at, net of that market's selling fee. It is free. The number is usually lower than the Steam Community Market total, because Steam wallet funds cannot be withdrawn as money and every market takes a cut.

Why are some of my items missing from the total?

Steam hides trade protected items from the public inventory for the seven days after a trade, and it never shows what's inside a storage unit, so a profile link can't see either. Dopplers with no visible phase and items with no market price are listed but left out of the total.

Do you keep the profiles I look up?

No. We read the public inventory, price it and show it to you. The answer stays in memory for about ten minutes so a reload doesn't ask Steam again, then it's gone. Nothing goes in our database and nobody else sees who you looked up. Saving an inventory needs your own account.

Why are some Dopplers not priced?

A Ruby and a Phase 2 of the same knife can be thousands apart, and the market name is the same. We price a Doppler only when the inventory itself shows the phase. When it doesn't, check the phase in game or with an inspect link, then use the trade check, where you pick the phase yourself.

Why is my Steam inventory value different on every site?

Because the usual total is Steam's own listing price, in wallet credit, before Steam takes its cut. PatinaAI prices each item on what you could actually collect, on a market you could actually sell on, after that market's fee, which is why its total is lower and closer to what you'd really receive.

Can I check someone else's Steam inventory value?

Any public inventory can be valued from its profile link or trade link, and nothing private is read. Signing in through Steam values your own without the link.

What if the inventory is private?

Then Steam shows it to nobody, us included, and you'll get a message instead of a value. In Steam, go to Edit Profile, then Privacy Settings, and set My profile and Inventory to Public.

Why is my Steam inventory value higher than what I can sell for?

The Steam Community Market keeps about 13% in fees and the money stays in your Steam wallet. Cash markets list below the Steam sticker price but pay out real money, so the amount you can actually collect is lower than the Steam number and depends on where you sell.

How often do the prices update?

Each market on its own clock: the fastest every few minutes, the slowest about every six hours. Every lookup uses the latest price we hold for each item when you press the button.

Is a CSGO inventory value the same as a CS2 inventory value?

Yes. When Counter-Strike 2 replaced CS:GO every item carried over unchanged, so your CSGO inventory is your CS2 inventory and one valuation covers both.

Does float affect my inventory value?

Yes. Two copies of the same skin can be worth very different amounts because of float, pattern and stickers, so a total built from name averages can be far off for the expensive items. Signed in, PatinaAI prices each copy by its own float and pattern.

Do I need to sign in to check my inventory value?

Not for the profile link check, which is free. Signing in through Steam is the quicker route to your own inventory, and it adds the items a public inventory does not expose, per-copy float and pattern pricing, and price alerts.
